Paul T. Farrell Jr. practices law in Huntington, West Virginia, and has been appointed Co-Lead of MDL 2804 styled, In re National Prescription Opiate Litigation, where more than 2,700 cases are pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

He is lead counsel of record for 700+ docketed cases filed on behalf of governmental entities across the country in MDL 2804 and widely recognized by his peers as a pioneer and authority on the diversion claims directed against the opiate prescription drug manufacturers, distributors and dispensers.

Mr. Farrell filed some of the first diversion cases in the country in southern West Virginia and initiated the proceedings leading to the formation of MDL 2804 centralized in Ohio. Mr. Farrell is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (1994) and the West Virginia University College of Law (1997).
